US President Donald Trump has appointed Adam Telle as acting head of the US Department of the Army after Daniel Driscoll's resignation.
Modern.az reports that Trump wrote about this on his "Truth Social" account.
"I am pleased to announce that Adam Telle, who currently serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, will immediately begin serving as the acting head of the US Army," Trump said.
Earlier, it was reported that Daniel Driscoll, the head of the US Army, had submitted his resignation.
At the end of August, "The Hill" newspaper, citing informed sources, wrote that Pentagon chief Pete Hegset was considering his press secretary Sean Parnell as a candidate for the head of the US Army instead of Driscoll.
