During the meeting, cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in the fight against climate change, COP issues, as well as regional and international topics of mutual interest were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided information about Azerbaijan's experience and achievements within the framework of the COP-29 Presidency, and our country's close cooperation with Australia, which will hold the COP-31 Presidency, and host country Turkey.
Bilateral cooperation issues on the Caspian Sea were also touched upon during the meeting. In this framework, the importance of intensifying the activities of the bilateral Working Group established on the Caspian Sea was emphasized.
The importance of protecting the water resources and unique ecosystem of the Caspian Sea was noted, and the importance of applying innovative technologies and implementing joint projects in this direction, including in the agricultural sector, was brought to attention.
During the meeting, other bilateral issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
