The European Union is increasing pressure on Russia's "shadow fleet."
Modern.az reports that the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, announced this on the social network "X".
She noted that within the framework of the EU Naval Forces' "EUNAVFOR_MED IRINI" operation in the Mediterranean Sea, the oil tanker "MV SOUTH STAR", suspected of sailing under a false flag, was detained:
"Sailing under a false flag is a gross violation of international maritime law, and such cases serve to ensure the operation of Russia's war machine."
