The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has opened a criminal case against Narek Karapetyan, the nephew of Russian billionaire and oligarch Samvel Karapetyan, who is also a member of the Political Council of the opposition "Strong Armenia" bloc led by the politician.

According to the information, a public criminal case has been opened against the politician under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
It should be recalled that parliamentary elections in Armenia ended on June 7. Two blocs and 16 political parties competed for deputy mandates. The main favorite was the ruling "Civil Contract" party led by Pashinyan, and its main rival was the "Strong Armenia" bloc.
