US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Ratcliffe has secured the release of Americans detained in Russia.
Modern.az reports that The Wall Street Journal published this information.
According to the newspaper, Ratcliffe was personally sent to Moscow by US President Donald Trump to conduct negotiations.
It is reported that the head of the CIA discussed the issue of releasing American prisoners with the Russian side and, as a result, achieved their release.
However, currently, the Russian and US authorities have not made any official statements regarding the release of Americans or any prisoner exchange between the two countries.
