Hafid Ameir Hasan, wife of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hasan, died of heart disease at a hospital on Zanzibar island.
Modern.az reports that local “The Citizen” newspaper published this information on September 7.
The information was confirmed by Tanzanian Vice President Deoqratius Ndembebe.
According to the information, the president's wife died at Emilio Mzena Hospital around 08:00 local time. Preparations for her funeral are currently underway in Kizimkazi village.
Hafid Ameir Hasan was a professional agronomist. He rarely participated in public events.
Hafid Ameir Hasan and Samia Suluhu Hasan married in 1978. The couple had four children from their marriage.
