"Basij" commander killed in Iran

Abdurrauf Esaqi, one of the commanders of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) "Basij" paramilitary forces, has been killed.

Modern.az reports with reference to Iranian media that the incident took place in the southeastern region of the country.

Iranian authorities have described the incident as a terrorist attack. According to media reports, security forces are searching for and pursuing the attackers.
