Work continues in Ukraine to eliminate the consequences of Russia's massive attack last night.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, the attack covered Kyiv and Kyiv region, as well as other regions of the country.
“This was a complex attack deliberately planned by the Russians to inflict as much damage as possible on people's lives. Ballistic, cruise and anti-ship missiles, reactive 'Shaheds' were used. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure in the capital suffered serious damage,” Zelensky said.
The President stated that as a result of the strikes on the capital, 2 people died and 10 people were injured. Employees of the State Emergency Service were able to rescue 13 people.
Zelensky also informed about Russia's attacks on other regions. According to him, critical infrastructure facilities were hit in the Kyiv region.
“An ordinary market was hit in Odesa region. Two people were injured in Kharkiv, and an apartment building was damaged. In the morning, a locomotive of the Kyiv-Sumy train was attacked at a railway station in Sumy region. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The evacuation of people continues. Strikes were also carried out in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions,” the Ukrainian leader said.
According to Zelensky, during the night, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 175 air targets. However, some of Russia's attack means reached their intended targets.
