The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information about an explosion in a residential building located on Umid Alakbarov Street, Yasamal district, Baku.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the MES, forces of the State Fire Protection and Special Risky Rescue services of the MES were immediately dispatched to the area.
It was noted that during the initial assessment of the operational situation at the scene, it was determined that an explosion accompanied by fire occurred on the first floor of the two-story residential building.
"Thanks to the prompt intervention of firefighters, the fire was extinguished in a short time without allowing it to spread. As a result of the fire, the combustible structures of two rooms on the first floor of the house, with a total area of 250 sq.m. belonging to different citizens, burned in an area of 50 sq.m. As a result of the incident, 3 people sustained injuries of varying degrees, and the p of a citizen born in 2010 was removed by rescuers and handed over to the relevant authorities. An investigation is being conducted by the relevant agencies in connection with the incident," the MES stated.
