A new species of mollusk discovered near Cape Verde has been named after Vozinha, the goalkeeper of the country's national team.
Modern.az reports that a Spanish scientist who discovered the species made a statement about this.
According to the scientist, the naming of the new species in honor of Vozinha is due to his brilliant performance in his debut match against Spain at the World Cup.
The researcher stated that the goalkeeper has become a symbol of national pride for the people of Cape Verde and inspires future generations.
"Vozinha put Cape Verde on the world football map," the scientist emphasized.
