Peter Magyar, who has come to the forefront in Hungarian politics, will soon form a new government in the country and will most likely start his activity as prime minister. This will mean the transition of the "Tisa" Party, chaired by Peter Magyar, from opposition to power. The "Tisa" Party won 138 of the 199 seats in parliament as a result of the April 12 elections.
According to Modern.az, in addition to Peter Magyar's political activity, his personal life also arouses public interest and this topic is being discussed in the European media.
Peter Magyar was married for a long time to Judit Varga, one of Hungary's well-known politicians. This marriage was considered one of the important alliances in the country's political elite. The couple's relationship often attracted attention in both public and political contexts.
Judit Varga served as Hungary's Minister of Justice from 2019 to 2023. Three sons were born from the marriage of Peter and Judit, who had been in a relationship for 18 years.
The eldest son was born in 2009 and was named Levente. He is currently 17 years old.
The middle son, Lorant, was born in 2013 and is currently 13 years old.
The youngest son is Miklos - born in 2015 and currently 11 years old.
However, in recent years it became known that serious problems arose in Peter and Judit's relationship. Their marriage could not withstand political intrigues and the couple divorced in 2023, accompanied by scandals.

After their separation, the issue of child custody was resolved within the framework of joint parental responsibility.
Now the children spend time with both parents living in separate homes, and the responsibility for their upbringing and care is equally shared between the ex-spouses.
Hungarian media writes that the sons live on the principle of "alternating custody". For example, they spend one week with their father, the next week with their mother, or a significant part of their time with their father.
At the same time, it is noted that influential parents try not to involve children in their political confrontations and disagreements.
The press writes that the boys lead an active lifestyle, study and play sports. The eldest son, Levente, is already at the age of choosing a future profession.
The separation of Peter Magyar and Judit Varga is considered not only a personal matter, but also an event that caused political resonance. Because both sides have a certain influence in Hungarian politics, and this separation has often been accompanied by various statements and mutual accusations.
In March 2024, Peter Magyar released an audio recording of a conversation he had with Judit Varga when she was still Minister of Justice - two months before their divorce. In that audio recording, which dates back to January 2023, Varga stated that the assistants of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's chief of staff tried to change documents in a criminal case.
During the conversation, Varga, unaware that her voice was being recorded, told her husband that some sensitive documents in an important corruption case had been "cleaned up" by the prosecutor's office. The then-acting Minister of Justice openly admitted that the government in Hungary had turned into a mafia system and that it was simply impossible to get out of it.

After the recording was released, Y. Varga, who was already divorced, accused P. Magyar of blackmail and domestic violence, stating that she had said what she said under pressure. However, she did not deny the authenticity of the recording.
Judit Varga wrote on social media: "He used the audio recording to achieve his political goals. Such a person does not deserve any trust... This is the act of the man to whom I gave three sons... the man to whom I repeatedly gave a chance to start everything over with love and hope during years of violence in our relationship."
Y. Varga's accusations of physical violence by her ex-husband were widely circulated by the pro-government media.
Peter Magyar, on the other hand, rejected the accusations, calling them slander and saying that they were intended to distract attention from the content of the published audio.
In a Facebook post, he did not deny that there were various difficulties in their 18-year relationship, but wrote, "I have never laid a hand on the mother of my children, but she has attacked me many times - both with fists and kicks, sometimes in front of witnesses, and sometimes behind closed doors." Peter Magyar also stated that a smear campaign had been launched against him by the authorities.
At that time, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, when asked about his relationship with Peter Magyar, said: "I am engaged in state administration, not soap operas."

In general, the accusations made by Judit Varga after the divorce led to scandalous discussions targeting Peter Magyar's personal and political image. She even wrote a book titled "16 Years with the Monster" about her marriage to Peter Magyar. In this book, Ms. Varga included various sensational accusations about her ex-husband. For example, she writes:
"He beat me, masturbated in front of the children, and killed one of the puppies in the microwave in front of our eyes. After that, the children needed psychological help."
In 2024, Peter Magyar left the ruling "Fidesz" party and continued his political activity in the opposition "Tisa" party.
Peter Magyar left the ruling "Fidesz" party amid a scandal related to the pardon order signed by President Katalin Novak.
Thus, Katalin Novak (who was president from 2022 to 2024) was forced to resign after it was revealed that the former deputy director of a children's home had been pardoned. That person had been involved in covering up cases of sexual abuse of children in the institution.
P. Magyar's ex-wife, Judit Varga, held the position of Minister of Justice when the pardon decision was signed and was considered the main candidate to lead the list of the ruling "Fidesz" party in the elections to the European Parliament. After the scandal, she renounced her parliamentary mandate and withdrew from participating in the election campaign.
After moving to the opposition, the pro-government media continued to write about scandalous events related to Peter Magyar. One such scandalous article stated that in a nightclub in Budapest, Peter Magyar - probably drunk - snatched the phone of a person trying to film him dancing and threw it into the Danube River.
Peter Magyar, noting that he was subjected to political pressure, warned his supporters that the government was preparing a "Russian-style smear operation" against him, meaning that a video of an "intimate moment" with his ex-girlfriend could be released.
Peter Magyar said that he was in an apartment with his ex-girlfriend and that he could have been secretly videotaped.
"Yes, I am a 45-year-old man, I also have a sex life," he wrote on the X social network at the time.
However, the video "announced" by Magyar in advance was not released.
Information about Peter Magyar's current personal life is more limited. There is no accurate and confirmed information in open sources about whether he has a new wife. Although some media outlets have claimed that he has started new relationships, this information has not been officially confirmed.
Currently, Peter Magyar is mostly in the spotlight for his political activities and speeches.
Although Peter Magyar's personal life is as interesting as his political career, the available information shows that he is currently trying to keep his personal relationships out of public discussion.
Although his former marriage and separation caused a wide resonance, there is currently no concrete and confirmed information about his new wife.
