Last year, approximately 125,000 young people were engaged by state employment service bodies, ensuring their involvement in active employment measures. Of these, 72,600 young people were provided with employment. Furthermore, one of the most important factors in the integration of young people into the labor market is vocational training. The vocational training implemented by the Ministry significantly contributes to raising the readiness level of young people for labor activities, developing innovative thinking and practical skills, as well as forming a qualified human resources potential across various sectors of the economy.

Modern.az reports that these words were stated by Anar Aliyev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, at the XI Forum of Azerbaijani Youth.

He noted that in this direction, 9,500 young people were involved in vocational training courses organized by the State Employment Agency during 2025. At the same time, the Ministry provides career guidance services to inform unemployed and job-seeking individuals about the current state of the labor market, professions and specialties in high demand in the labor market, and opportunities for involvement in vocational training.

“Last year, advisory services were provided to approximately 40,000 young people, and work was carried out to shape their professional interests. Among the measures implemented in this direction, the “Professions Festival” is one of the important initiatives. The “ProfessionFest 2025” marathon held last year covered 11 cities and regions of the country, and 95,000 young people became acquainted with the current trends of the labor market. The self-employment program has become an important tool for supporting young people's entrepreneurial initiatives, enabling them to engage in income-generating activities, and improving their social welfare. Within the framework of this program, 2,500 young people gained the opportunity to establish small farms and business activities in 2025.

At the same time, the “DOST Volunteer” program is being successfully implemented to enable young people to gain practical experience in citizen services, strengthen their individual development potential, and form initial professional skills on their career path. The Minister emphasized that 1,600 young people were involved in this program by the Ministry in 2025 alone”.
