Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet had the opportunity to familiarize himself with the open letter from Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, but the Kremlin has already seen it.

Modern.az reports that this was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian leader, to journalists.

“Yes, we have seen the letter. But the Russian president has not yet had the opportunity to familiarize himself with it,” Peskov noted.

“The president will be informed about this after the business visit of the Uzbek leader concludes,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

Peskov also stated that “if Zelensky wants to meet with Putin, he can come to Moscow.”

“Zelensky can come to Moscow at any time. President Putin said that if Zelensky wants to talk, he can come to Moscow and do so,” the press secretary of the Russian president said in response to journalists' questions about the increasing proposals from the Ukrainian leader for a meeting with the Russian president.

It should be recalled that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky offered Vladimir Putin to end the conflict.

Zelensky published the letter he wrote about this on his website.

“Ukraine proposes to end the war in the format that exists between you and us,” the letter stated.

Zelensky expressed his readiness for an exchange of prisoners based on the principle of “all for all” and supported the search for long-term security guarantees with the participation of international partners.

He proposed holding a personal meeting in a neutral country to discuss ways to end the war and called for a complete ceasefire during the negotiations.

Zelensky believes that the United States should participate in the process and emphasized that this could play a decisive role in forming a new security architecture.
