Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin warned about the violation of the interests of Russian-capital companies in Armenia.

Modern.az reports that, according to Galuzin, although the Armenian authorities previously stated that there was no threat to Russian investments in the country, Moscow believes that the real situation does not fully coincide with these statements.

The Russian official stated that more and more experts believe that signs of "redistribution of property" with political motives are observed in Armenia.

"The violation of the interests of Russian economic operators in Armenia will not remain without an appropriate reaction from the Russian side," Galuzin said.

It should be noted that Armenia adopted a new "Law on Investments" in June 2026. The law states that ensuring an equal and non-discriminatory legal environment for both local and foreign investors, and the protection of investments are among the main principles.

Recently, processes related to the property of former high-ranking officials and business structures associated with them in Armenia have also become a subject of political debate. The Armenian authorities present this as a policy of returning illegally acquired property to the state, while the opposition considers it political pressure and redistribution of property.
