The number of deaths due to Ebola virus infection in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has reached 127.
Modern.az reports that the DRC's Ministry of Communication and Media Affairs released this information.
According to the agency, the number of confirmed Ebola infections has reached 635, with a mortality rate of approximately 20%.
According to the latest data from the World Health Organization, 19 infections and two deaths have been confirmed in Uganda.
Previously, it was reported that 115 people had died and 598 were infected in the DRC.
It should be noted that today the US State Department announced that $20 million has been allocated to ensure the fight against the Ebola virus in neighboring Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
