Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi will visit Tehran. Several bilateral cooperation agreements are expected to be signed during the visit.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in a special statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement noted that the Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister received the Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad. During the meeting, bilateral relations and the agenda of the Iraqi Prime Minister's planned visit to Tehran at the end of next week were discussed.
It was stated that the parties discussed the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding in the field of joint cooperation that will serve the interests of both countries within the framework of the visit.
It should be noted that the Iraqi Prime Minister concluded his official visit to the United States yesterday. During the visit, he held talks with US President Donald Trump.
