Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that they will refrain from striking Moscow from September 5 to 7.
Modern.az reports that Zelensky wrote about this on his "Telegram" channel.
Zelensky stated that this decision was made against the backdrop of the visit of US President's special representative Steve Witkoff and US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner to Russia:
"We just spoke with representatives of the US President. They have already started working with the Russian side today. From the moment of our conversation, we are ready to observe the regime of cessation of air strikes on the cities involved in the negotiation process."
He noted that Ukraine is ready to refrain from striking Moscow from today until the end of the day, as well as on Sunday and Monday.
"We hope that Russia will also not strike Kyiv," Zelensky emphasized.
