US President Donald Trump made a strong statement about Iran, saying that what is happening in that country resembles the processes once experienced in Venezuela.
Modern.az reports that Trump spoke about this in a statement to journalists.
"What's happening with Iran is the same as what happened in Venezuela. People just don't see it," the US president said.
Trump emphasized that Iran cannot be influenced by money.
"They cannot be bought with money. They need to be defeated. And we are defeating them," he noted.
At the same time, Trump also stated that "friendly talks" with Tehran are continuing.
"Iran says, 'Please, no blockade.' For a while, the fuel situation had improved. Then they didn't behave properly, and I had to return to military steps. Now they are behaving normally again," the US president added.
