Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is alleged to be living under a different name in Russia, while his family members have accumulated hundreds of hectares of land, dozens of real estate properties, and millions of dollars worth of assets in the country.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in an investigation by "Television Toronto".

According to the investigation, Yanukovych is with Lyubov Polezhay, with whom he lives in a civil marriage in Sochi, and it is assumed that he uses documents under the name Oleg Nikolaevich Leonov. It is stated that he accompanied Polezhay under this name during his visits to Abkhazia.

According to journalists' investigation, Leonov's birth date in Russian databases coincides with Yanukovych's birth date. Furthermore, the surname Leonov was once Yanukovych's mother's maiden name. The authors of the investigation state that they could not find any other information about this person.

It is alleged that Yanukovych's son, Alexander, lives under the surname Sokolov with his wife and two sons. Lyubov Polezhay, on the other hand, has taken her maiden name, Sadykova.

The investigation notes that photos shared by Polezhay on social networks coincide with images of the "Blagodat" estate located on Yesaulenko Street in Sochi. The complex, covering an area of approximately 3 hectares, includes several residential buildings, greenhouses, a garden, a chapel, and an artificial lake. In addition, a large plot of land and an unused guesthouse have been registered in Sadykova's name.

According to information, Yanukovych and his family are protected by individuals who previously worked in the Ukrainian State Security Department and later started working in Russia's Federal Protective Service (FSO). They are wanted in Ukraine.

The investigation states that although Lyubov Sadykova was registered as a manager in an agrarian complex with a monthly salary of approximately 50,000 rubles between 2015 and 2025, it is claimed that this job was formal. It is emphasized that during that period, she acquired 337 hectares of agricultural land, and then leased this land to the same agrarian complex, earning more than 50 million rubles in four years. She is also reported to have earned an additional approximately 14 million rubles from real estate sales.

According to the calculations of the investigation's authors, Lyubov Sadykova owned a total of more than 370 hectares of land and more than 2.4 thousand square meters of real estate during her time in Russia. These properties include five apartments, five private houses, and four other various objects.

In addition, Yanukovych's daughter-in-law acquired more than 27 thousand square meters of real estate, including in the elite "Benilux" residential complex near Moscow. The investigation notes that in 2024, she had approximately 3.5 million dollars in bank deposits, and her son Viktor had nearly 5 million dollars in his accounts.
