It was stated that the US had suspended the issuance of entry permits to the country in January as part of tightening control over applicants. A federal court ruled that this measure was contrary to law and exceeded the authorities' powers.
It should be noted that, according to the rules in force in the US, an immigrant's entry into the country can only be denied if they are considered a potential "ward of the state."
