US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll is reportedly expected to resign from his post by the end of 2026.
Modern.az reports that “The Wall Street Journal” published this information citing sources. According to the information, one of the main reasons for the possible resignation is the months-long tense relationship between Driscoll and US Secretary of Defense Pit Hegset.
Driscoll's resignation could leave the US Army without a Senate-confirmed leader. His possible departure could create new uncertainty amid leadership changes at the Pentagon during President Donald Trump's second administration.
It should be noted that disagreements between Driscoll and Hegset have previously been on the media's agenda. In April, Driscoll announced that he had no intention of resigning. However, according to recent reports, the tension between the parties has escalated again.
