US President Donald Trump said that tourism activity in the country increased significantly this summer. He noted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup also played a role in the increase.
Modern.az reports that Trump shared this on the social network “Truth Social”.
The US President said that Americans traveled widely within the country during the summer months:
“What an incredible summer for US tourism! Americans traveled nearly 300 billion miles, our national parks received 78 million visitors, and millions of people traveled by air.”
According to Trump, the 2026 FIFA World Cup alone contributed more than $18 billion to the US economy and supported more than 160,000 jobs.
“Tourism and travel mean jobs, investments, and billions of dollars flowing into local communities with US companies,” he said.
He emphasized that the Trump administration is working to reduce bureaucratic hurdles, modernize air travel, and make the US more accessible to tourists as well as foreign entrepreneurs.
“America is open for business, and the best is yet to come!” the US President concluded.
