Zinedine Zidane will replace head coach Didier Deschamps, who is preparing to leave the French national team.
Modern.az reports with reference to the well-known insider Fabrizio Romano that Deschamps' activity as the head coach of the French national team ended after the team lost to Spain in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup and stopped fighting last night. Under his leadership, the national team became world champion once, and reached the final and semi-finals of the World Cup once.
Romano noted that Zinedine Zidane will take the position of the new head coach of the French national team.
It should be noted that 56-year-old Didier Deschamps has been coaching the French national team since 2012.
