The exchange rate of the US dollar in Iran has once again risen to a historical maximum level.

Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that 1 US dollar is sold for 195 thousand 700 tomans, i.e. 1 million 957 thousand rials, in the country's unofficial currency market.

This indicator is considered the lowest value in the history of the Iranian rial. In recent months, increasing military tension with the US and Israel, new sanctions, inflation and economic uncertainty have led to a rapid depreciation of the national currency.

According to economists, the weakening of the rial will further increase the price of imported products, strengthen inflationary pressure and negatively affect the purchasing power of the population.

It should be noted that Iran has been struggling with international sanctions, high inflation and instability in the currency market for many years. The latest record is considered one of the main indicators showing the further deepening of the crisis in the country's financial system.
