Gideon Saar sharply criticized European countries for their approach to the situation in the Middle East.
Modern.az reports that the Israeli Foreign Minister stated that European leaders do not realistically assess events.
“Europe is like an ostrich with its head in the sand. They lecture Israel from air-conditioned offices,” Saar noted.
The minister added that although some European politicians try to present Israel as a “colonial project,” he emphasized that the people of Israel are the indigenous inhabitants of these lands.
He also touched upon the issue of Hezbollah, stating that this group is the main problem in relations between Israel and Lebanon.
“There are no serious disagreements between Israel and Lebanon. The problem is Hezbollah. Israel’s security problem is actually Lebanon’s sovereignty problem,” Saar emphasized.
