Yesterday, an armed attack at a secondary school in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, resulted in the death of a teacher.
Modern.az reports that during the attack carried out by an 8th-grade student at Ayşer Çalık Secondary School, 1 teacher and 8 students lost their lives.
During the incident, there was great panic at the school. Numerous emergency medical and law enforcement personnel were dispatched to the area, and the injured were hospitalized.
The teacher who lost her life as a result of the tragedy was identified as mathematics teacher Ayla Kara. It is reported that she lost her life by stepping in front of the bullets while trying to protect her students during the attack.
Ayla Kara's attempt to protect her students by throwing herself over them further increased the pain of the tragedy.
