A law has been signed in Russia granting customs authorities the power to combat unmanned aerial vehicles.
Modern.az reports with reference to Russian media that the document signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin has been published on the official legal information portal. Customs officers will now be able to stop drone operations in the event of an attack or threat of attack on agency facilities.
Customs officers are authorized to block or alter remote control signals of drones, manipulate remote control, and damage or destroy the drones themselves. This applies to any automated unmanned aerial, underwater, or surface systems, as well as unmanned vehicles.
