Alexey Chadayev, advisor to the Russian Minister of Transport, who previously made statements against Azerbaijan, has resigned from his post.
According to Modern.az, the former official wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"I decided to resign from the post of advisor to the Russian Minister of Transport," he noted.
It should be recalled that on August 17, the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan put three Russian citizens on the international wanted list for calls for terrorism: these are Ivan Andreyevich Knyazev, presenter and journalist of the "Moscow 24" TV channel; Semyon Sergeyevich Uralov, who presents himself as a political consultant and media expert in the Russian Federation, and Alexey Alexandrovich Chadayev, advisor to the Russian Minister of Transport, who works as a TV journalist and correspondent.
According to the statement of the Prosecutor General's Office, a preliminary investigation is being conducted on the criminal case initiated on charges of open calls for the violent change of the constitutional structure of the Republic of Azerbaijan, violation of territorial integrity, incitement of ethnic hatred, hostility and open calls for terrorism.
This morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan summoned Russian Ambassador Mikhail Evdokimov, and a strong protest was expressed to the diplomat regarding the recent provocative statements against the Azerbaijani people and its leadership in the media of that country.
