The program of the Business and Innovation Center to be organized at WUF13 has been announced, introducing a new component - the Business and Innovation Center.
Modern.az reports that this center, through its special program, will highlight practical solutions, implementation methods, and partnership relations covering all stages (value chain) of the urban planning process. It will support the development of approaches that respond to the global housing crisis within the framework of WUF13's theme "Housing for all: safe and sustainable cities and human settlements" and will focus on innovation, investment, and implementation issues.
The main goals of the Business and Innovation Center are to demonstrate how housing provision is implemented in real practice and to create a platform for effective cooperation and coordination.
The program will bring together private sector representatives and other stakeholders involved in the development of innovative housing provision and essential services solutions.
Urban planning value chain in action
15 sessions on "Practical application of the urban planning value chain" will be held on the stage of the Business and Innovation Center.
These interactive sessions will demonstrate how sustainable urban planning and decent housing provision are developed through real projects and experiences implemented by partners, companies, and business associations.
Reflecting the private sector in all its diversity, the Center will include a wide audience of participants, from large-scale companies to small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, and business associations, while highlighting new approaches to innovation, technology, and urban planning problems.
The Center will also contribute to the transformation of ideas into implementation-oriented approaches and the strengthening of cooperation in the field of the urban planning value chain by promoting exchange between cities, investors, and professionals who apply their knowledge in practice.
Support for startup projects and new entities
Also, a special space - the Startup Pavilion - will be presented at the Business and Innovation Center for newly established companies and young entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations.
The goal of the Pavilion, which will be attended by 14 startup projects selected from 10 countries around the world, is to give a voice to new entities and to highlight scalable ideas for solving both housing provision and urban planning problems.
