There is no military solution to the conflict with Iran, and the US must accept this reality.
Modern.az reports that Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said this in an interview with foreign media.
"The US and Israel have already tested us at least twice and as a result have understood that the military path does not work," he said.
He added that the US and Israel cannot achieve their goals through military operations, but if diplomacy is chosen, the situation could be different. According to Araqchi, Iran is open to dialogue, but contradictory messages from the US complicate the process.
The Minister also touched upon the claims regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stating that Iran is not the cause of the current situation and did not start the war, Tehran is only defending itself.
He emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is not closed and is open especially for friendly countries. According to the Minister, certain restrictions are applied only to parties considered enemies.
Araqchi added that ships from friendly countries must coordinate with Iranian military forces for safe passage, and in this way, safe transit is ensured.
The Minister stated that in recent days, many ships have passed through the strait with the help of Iranian naval forces, and this process will continue.
Finally, he noted that the only solution is a complete cessation of aggressive warfare, and after that, Iran will ensure safe passage for all ships.
