A medical scandal in Florida, USA, which resulted in the death of a 70-year-old man, has become a hot topic.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that the patient, who applied to the hospital with severe abdominal pain, was planned to have his spleen removed.
However, the 44-year-old surgeon who performed the operation allegedly removed the patient's liver instead of the spleen. As a result, the man died from severe bleeding.
Although the surgeon tried to show himself innocent after the incident, law enforcement agencies arrested him on charges of second-degree murder.
An investigation is underway regarding the fact.
