Today, my dear brother's visit to Azerbaijan coincides with another significant day in the history of relations and brotherhood between the two countries and two peoples.
Modern.az reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
"108 years ago, on the same day, the Caucasus Islamic Army liberated Baku with the participation of the Azerbaijani corps. And Hakan Bey's visit to Azerbaijan coinciding with this day has a special beautiful symbolic meaning. We remember the memory of all heroes with great gratitude."
Jeyhun Bayramov also touched upon the Shusha Declaration.
"There is no area for the development and progress of a country, people, and nation that is not specifically mentioned in the Shusha Declaration and to which attention is not paid in the context of cooperation between the two countries. For example, if we look only at the last period - 2025 and the first 8 months of 2026, we will see that a total of 8 visits have taken place, four by the President of Azerbaijan to Turkey and four by the President of Turkey to Azerbaijan. This in itself is a clear example of the high level of these contacts and relations."
