The construction of highways in the main part of Azerbaijan towards the Armenian border has been completed by approximately 95 percent, and the construction of the railway by 75 percent.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
According to the minister, the part of both projects on the territory of Azerbaijan is planned to be completed in the first half of 2027.
Jeyhun Bayramov stated that concrete construction works are also being carried out on the 224-kilometer Kars–Iğdır–Dilucu railway line in Turkey.
The Foreign Minister noted that after all sections are put into operation, a direct transport connection will be established between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan through the territory of Armenia.
