Turkey continues its contacts with the parties to stop the Russia-Ukraine war.
Modern.az reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated this at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
He stated that since the beginning of the war, Turkey has carried out various initiatives through diplomatic channels to stop it.
Hakan Fidan noted that using contacts with the parties, activities related to holding negotiations, organizing meetings in Istanbul, and prisoner exchange were carried out.
“Our work in this direction continues. Because this war is still ongoing. Indeed, the war is causing great damage not only to our region but also to the world economy,” the minister said.
According to him, the prolongation of the war also seriously affects energy infrastructure and other areas.
Hakan Fidan emphasized that it is important to reach an understanding between the parties and stop the fighting so that the war does not lead to greater disasters.
The minister noted that Turkey continues its contacts with the parties in this direction and continues its efforts to stop the war.
