Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Azerbaijan on the 108th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from occupation.
Modern.az reports that the Turkish leader made a post about this on his “X” account.
“I congratulate our friend and brother Azerbaijan on the anniversary of the liberation of its capital Baku from enemy occupation, and I commemorate Nuru Killigil Pasha, the commander of the Caucasian Islamic Army, and our heroic soldiers with mercy,” Erdogan said.
The Turkish President also included the flags of Azerbaijan and Turkey in his post.
It should be noted that Baku was liberated from occupation on September 15, 1918, as a result of joint military operations by the Caucasian Islamic Army and the Azerbaijani Corps.
