I would like to specifically mention the project of building a new energy hub via Georgia and the ongoing work in this direction, as well as the project of a new energy hub connecting Nakhchivan, which is of great strategic importance, with Turkey.

Modern.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during his speech at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.

“We evaluate the implementation of these projects as new directions with great potential in the field of green energy, with the participation of the two countries, not only for Azerbaijan and Turkey or their markets, but also for the European market, as transit for renewable energy through Turkey.

Regarding developments in the transport and logistics sector, you know that the expansion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project was recently completed. At the same time, the expansion works carried out at the Alat port, the Trans-Caspian corridor as a whole, and the Middle Corridor as a whole, were noted as a very large-scale project connecting Europe and Asia, not just between two countries.

We attach great importance to the activities of the intergovernmental commission and believe that the implementation of the decisions reached at the last commission meeting held in December 2023 has a great contribution and importance in advancing new projects in various fields.

In the context of our relations, the humanitarian field, education, science, culture, youth policy, sports and a number of other areas traditionally hold special importance, and of course, we touched upon these issues in the context of today's discussions.”
