International military exercises called "Opex-26" (Operational Experimentation) are being held in the Black Sea with the participation of naval forces from six NATO member states. Autonomous unmanned marine vehicles are used in the exercises.
Modern.az reports that the Romanian Naval Forces headquarters issued a statement about this.
It is reported that the international maneuvers, aimed at testing unmanned marine vehicles, are being held from May 18 to 29 in the military port of Mangalia and in several areas of the Black Sea.
Representatives from Bulgaria, Canada, Portugal, Romania, the USA, and Turkey, as well as civilian companies producing unmanned marine vehicles, are participating in the exercises.
