Denmark wants to tighten rules for Ukrainian refugees and restrict the admission of people from 14 regions.
Modern.az reports with reference to the country's press that the Danish government proposes to recognize 14 regions located in the western and central parts of Ukraine as relatively safe areas.
Kyiv will not be included in this list. People from these regions will no longer be automatically considered persons in need of protection. It is also planned to force Ukrainians receiving social benefits to work and to review the current education rules.
The authorities explain these changes by the increasing burden on municipalities. Currently, approximately 47.6 thousand Ukrainians live in Denmark.
