Hussam Zidan, former correspondent of Iran's "Al-Alam" TV channel in Syria, was killed as a result of an Israeli attack on the Saida region in southern Lebanon.
Modern.az reports that the TV channel released information about this.
H. Zidan worked as a correspondent in Al-Alam TV's Syria bureau since 2009. The journalist covered battles in Deir ez-Zor, Hama, and Aleppo since 2011.
The channel also stated that the deceased journalist's son is in intensive care after Israel's attack on the Saida region.
The Israeli army has intensified its attacks on southern Lebanon in recent days. Lebanese authorities regularly accuse Israel of violating the ceasefire announced in April after negotiations in Washington.
