Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi discussed the management of the Strait of Hormuz and regional security issues with his Omani counterpart Badr al-Busaidi during a telephone conversation.
Modern.az reports that Araqchi shared about this on the X social network.
“During a very productive telephone conversation, I expressed Iran's solidarity with Oman in the face of any threat with Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi. We discussed the Strait of Hormuz and its future management within the framework of our sovereign obligations and international law. We welcome consultations with all neighboring states,” the Iranian minister said.
It should be noted that the Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the main routes for global energy transportation, and its security is in the spotlight amid increasing tensions in the region.
