Ahmed Takalo, who owns approximately 21.8 billion dollars, has been unable to access these funds for almost a month, despite effectively being among the richest people in the world.
After approximately 1 trillion Turkish liras were suddenly and inexplicably transferred to the bank accounts of 32-year-old Ahmed Takalo, who lives in Van, a city in eastern Turkey, they were blocked for verification purposes.
Modern.az reports that after this astonishing transfer, the amount in Takalo's account reached approximately 21.8 billion US dollars, which automatically places him among the world's richest people. However, due to the block imposed by the bank, he has been unable to use his accounts for almost a month.
According to NTV television, Takalo, who is originally from Azerbaijan and has been living in Turkey for about 10 years, went to a bank branch to find out the reason for the problem after he was unable to pay with his bank card at a supermarket.
During the account verification, it was found that his balance was exactly 999 billion 999 million 999 thousand 999 liras and 99 kuruş.
“I have no idea where this money came from,” Takalo admitted.
Due to the unprecedented nature of the situation, his accounts were frozen and sent for investigation.
In an interview with NTV, Takalo stated that although he tried to get information from the financial institution, he was not given a detailed explanation, citing that the investigations were still ongoing.
He also said that, being in a desperate situation, he even asked artificial intelligence what to do in such a case. The neural network replied to him that a budget of this scale could be directed to the implementation of the largest infrastructure projects or the acquisition of large volumes of gold reserves.
