US President Donald Trump said he was not trying to start talks with Iran.
Modern.az reports that Trump wrote about this on the "Truth Social" platform.
"I am not trying to bring Iran to the negotiating table, as reported on ABC's fake news. It doesn't matter to me whether they sign a deal that is useless to them," Trump wrote.
Trump noted that the current situation is more acceptable to him. According to him, the US "almost completely controls the Strait of Hormuz," and Iran's economy is "completely destroyed."
"They are just coming to terms with the inevitable. When will the Iranian people rise up and start fighting?" the US President added.
