On August 30, an important meeting on Iran will be held in Istanbul.
Modern.az reports that DPA agency spread information about this, citing sources in the German government.
The foreign ministers of the European Union's "troika" - Great Britain, Germany and France, as well as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey are expected to participate in the meeting.
The initiative to hold talks was put forward by Germany and Turkey.
During the meeting, among other issues, ways to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the security situation in the region will be discussed.
The participating countries expect the meeting to be a signal to the US about the necessity of continuing negotiations with Iran.
According to DPA, the situation in the Black Sea and the issue of Ukrainian grain exports will also be included in the meeting's agenda.
