The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the US “Patriot” anti-aircraft missile system, which failed to intercept Iranian missiles, caused the damage at Kuwait airport terminal.
Modern.az reports that IRGC spokesman for public relations, Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi, speaking about the damage at Kuwait airport, said:
“Our investigations show that the IRGC Aerospace Force did not strike this target”
He added:
“The damage to Kuwait airport's passenger terminal occurred as a result of a malfunction of American-made ‘Patriot’ systems, which failed to intercept Iranian missiles. One of the missiles fell on the terminal after failing to hit its target, causing damage.”
