In South Korea, the lack of ballots in some polling stations and the violation of voting rights in the local elections caused strong public protest.

Modern.az reports that in the capital Seoul, demonstrators prevented the removal of ballot boxes from the polling station. Although the country's Central Election Commission (CEC) apologized for what happened and announced that it would start an investigation, it stated that this incident did not create a basis for postponing or re-holding the elections.

President Lee Jae-myung expressed his deep regret regarding the incident and demanded that those responsible be punished.
