May was a record month for Ukraine in terms of liberation of territories.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to the minister, last month Ukrainian forces were able to regain more land than the territories that came under Russian control.
“In May, we liberated more than 100 square kilometers of territory compared to the territories the enemy was able to occupy. In addition, the number of enemy forces destroyed per square kilometer has also increased,” Fedorov emphasized.
The minister noted that the Ukrainian army continues defensive and counter-offensive operations in various directions of the front. According to him, in recent months, the enemy's losses in manpower and equipment have also been increasing.
