On August 2 – on the occasion of Azerbaijani Cinema Day, a national film screening was organized for the first time in Dashkasan district in open air, jointly by “AzerGold” CJSC and Baku Media Center, with the support of Dashkasan District Executive Power.
Modern.az reports that within the framework of the event, the full-length feature film “Taghiyev: Oil” produced by Baku Media Center was screened.
The screening, which attracted great interest from cinema enthusiasts, provided participants with the opportunity to watch one of the most modern and successful examples of Azerbaijani cinema.
The executive producer of the historical biographical drama “Taghiyev: Oil” is Arzu Aliyeva, and the director is Zaur Gasimli. The film is the first part of a four-part project dedicated to the life story of the great philanthropist and prominent entrepreneur Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev. The film artistically presents Taghiyev's activities in the oil industry, his entrepreneurial path, and his work for national development.
It should be noted that the full-length feature film “Taghiyev: Oil” has been nominated as Azerbaijan's official candidate for the 98th “Oscar” awards in the "Best International Feature Film" category.
More than 600 spectators watched the film in an open-air cinema specially installed in the area of the Youth Training and Recreation Center located in Khoshbulag village of Dashkasan district. The screening was met with great interest by the audience.
Such initiatives, aimed at promoting national cinematic heritage and bringing the successes of Azerbaijani cinema to a wider audience in the regions, make a significant contribution to enriching cultural life in the region where “AzerGold” CJSC operates, and to promoting national-spiritual values and cinematic art.
At the same time, such projects serve to familiarize people living in various regions of the country with modern Azerbaijani cinema, to actively participate in cultural events, and to strengthen social solidarity.
