Ruben Rubinyan, candidate for Speaker of the Armenian Parliament and former special representative for the normalization of relations with Turkey, stated that Armenia-Azerbaijan talks have progressed further than the Armenia-Turkey normalization process.
Modern.az reports that during his speech in parliament, he noted that concrete results have already been achieved in the Armenia-Azerbaijan talks.
"For example, the Azerbaijani side lifted restrictions on railway transit from Armenia earlier than Turkey. In addition, direct trade between Armenia and Azerbaijan, especially for oil products, already exists," Rubinyan said.
He admitted that the normalization process with Turkey is progressing slower than he expected. However, Rubinyan emphasized that he is confident that it is only a matter of time.
