The Israeli government's recognition of the so-called "Armenian genocide" and sending it to parliament for approval has not been unequivocally received in Armenia.
Modern.az reports, citing Armenian media, that well-known Armenian political commentator Hakob Badalyan stated that the Netanyahu government is trying to use Armenians for its own purposes. He emphasized that the question of why the Israeli government recognized the "Armenian genocide" now raises questions.
"The Benjamin Netanyahu administration cannot essentially take any humanitarian steps. Therefore, the disturbing question is why it was suddenly decided to touch upon the 'Armenian genocide' with hands stained with the blood of tens of thousands of innocent people in Gaza?" - Hakob Badalyan said.
