Two children from a family were found dead in the cabin of a car in Cyprus, in an area under the jurisdiction of British military bases.

According to the information, the incident became known around 18:00 local time. The bodies of the children were found in a locked car parked in an area near the village of Xylofagou, Larnaca district, on the territory of the Dhekelia military base.
The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the police of the British Dhekelia military base. Law enforcement officers are also carrying out investigative measures at the children's home.
According to preliminary assumptions, the children died as a result of suffocation. It is also reported that they suffered burn injuries as a result of sun exposure. The exact cause of death will be determined after a forensic medical examination.
